Many people think Christians are boring. Exactly the opposite is true. God loves you so much. He knows that the only way for you to have a great life is to walk with Him.
Read John 2:1-5
What was the problem? (vs. 3)
This was one lame party. It would be like going to a school dance with no music.
Read John 2:6-11
How did Jesus fix the problem of no wine?
Jesus’ first miracle happened at a party. He didn’t heal or feed anyone – he just wanted to improve the celebration.
What does this miracle reveal about Jesus’ character?
Jesus wants to give us life. No matter what your family is like or what you’re going through, He can give you joy. The world has no idea what a real party is. Outside Christ, “fun” is hollow, empty, and only lasts for a little while. In Christ we have meaning, identity, love, and freedom from sin.
How has Christ brought joy to your life?
How can you show that joy to your family and friends when you get back from camp?
Read these Psalms and circle any words or phrases that stand out to you.
Ask Him to keep the celebration going all the time!
From Psalm 34 (The Message)
I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with his praise.
Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see—
how good God is.
Blessed are you who run to him.
Worship God if you want the best;
worship opens doors to all his goodness.
From Psalm 63 (The Message)
God—you’re my God! I can’t get enough of you!
I’ve worked up such hunger and thirst for God,
traveling across dry and weary deserts.
So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open,
drinking in your strength and glory.
In your generous love I am really living at last!
My lips brim praises like fountains.
I bless you every time I take a breath;
My arms wave like banners of praise to you.
